The Ballad Of Gloria Lee ~ What better source of creativity, than the maternal source of our own creation - Mother. This is a portrait and poem I created in honor of my own Mother, Gloria. The poem was first written as a gift to her in part of her 70th Birthday celebration. After her passing later that same year, I felt compelled to create this portrait, rendered from a black & white photo of her at age 10. I was encouraged by a friend and fellow artist to share this with you here on Imgur. This is my first image to share within these pages, so I am unsure as to what can be expected in regards to a response . . . But I shall offer my gratitude to you in advance, and hope you may find some form of both interest and inspiration from this image.
